Apple to Open to Open R and D Center in Japan
Apple has announced several new R&D centres over the past few months. Apple CEO Tim Cook announced
that there are plans for a new R&D centre in Japan during a visit in Tokyo. Cook met Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe to discuss the matter and Japan. Later Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga confirmed that Apple would complete its R&D centre in December. The centre will be in Yokahama in a building that used to be a Panasonic factory. This will make it easier for Apple to hire Japanese engineers, but it is unclear what the team will work on & why they wanted it in Japan. Apple will also have R and D centres in China, Israel, UK, France, Japan and Sweden.
