Coming
on the heels of recent arrest of seven judges in the country, after a
raid on their residences by the DSS, President Muhammadu Buhari has
forwarded the names of two judges to the Senate for confirmation as
justices of the Supreme Court.
It
would be recalled that two Supreme Court justices were among those
arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS for alleged corruption
and professional misconduct.
According to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who read the request letter from President Buhari during Tuesday’s plenary, those nominated are Paul Jauro from Taraba State (North East) and Sidi Bage from Nasarawa State (North Central).
