After DSS raid, Buhari appoints 2 new justices for Supreme Court

Coming on the heels of recent arrest of seven judges in the country, after a raid on their residences by the DSS, President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded the names of two judges to the Senate for confirmation as justices of the Supreme Court.
It would be recalled that two Supreme Court justices were among those arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS for alleged corruption and professional misconduct.
According to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who read the request letter from President Buhari during Tuesday’s plenary, those nominated are Paul Jauro from Taraba State (North East) and Sidi Bage from Nasarawa State (North Central).
