South-South Reports have it that the accused, a staff of a federal ministry in Port Harcourt, had attacked the neighbour identified as Adelowu Ogundele , with a machete while the
victim was harvesting plantain at their Federal Housing Estate residence in Port Harcourt.

Chinedu was said to have challenged the victim » for cutting the plantain from the tree and an argument ensued between them leading to the accused » who had also gone to the farm to cut the same plantain, using his machete to cut of Ogundele's ear.Not done with the blood-shedding, Chinedu also reportedly
went on a rampage and cut off other plantain trees belonging to the victim and those of a former neighbour, Ibitayo

When the charges were read to Chinedu, he pleaded not guilty and the Chief Magistrate, B. M. F. Jamabo, granted him bail in the sum of N400,000 and one surety, while the case was adjourned to October 23, 2016, for hearing.
