NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has detected superhot blobs of gas☄ which twice the size of Mars, being ejected near a dying star called V Hydrae. The plasma balls are being shot at an incredibly fast rate through space & would take only 20 minutes to reach the moon if shot from the Earth (500,000 mph).
Astronomers estimate that the stellar “cannon fire” has continued once every 8.5 years for around 400 years. Astronomers are puzzled by the fireballs as the ejected material can’t have been shot out of the red giant star. The star is halfway through its nuclear fuel supply as it sheds its layers into space. Astronomers believe that the balls were launched by an unseen companion star in an elliptical orbit close to the red giant’s. As it moves closer to the red giant every 8.5 years, it consumes the giant’s material some of which is ejected as plasma balls due to the gravity between them.
