PDP refuses social media accounts, launches indigenous ones

 
The opposition People Democratic Party, PDP, has refused ownership of some social media accounts
making unofficial statements on its behalf and has launched four twitter handles for authentic representation of the party.

In a press release issued out Tuesday and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Adeyeye, the party said that it had equally come to its notice that "some elements" are creating twitter and Facebook accounts for the leaders of the party and hence, state that no leader of the party has any twitter or Facebook accounts as the party has its media and publicity arm that takes care of disseminating pieces of information regarding the party's activities
